SMART FOOD LAND: HOPE FOR FUTURE LIFE
In the future, agriculture will continue to evolve into a more modern field due to increasingly advanced technology. Today, smart sensors can monitor plant conditions, and drones are used to automatically water and supervise agricultural land. With the help of this technology, farmers’ work becomes easier, and agricultural products can also improve. Even narrow land areas can now be turned into multi-level gardens that produce abundant harvests. According to Mr. Mujiono, a farmer in his village, “technology is not meant to damage nature, but to help humans live more harmoniously with nature.” The advancement of science encourages people to continue finding new ways so that agriculture can grow and meet food needs in the future. Therefore, agriculture is no longer considered old-fashioned, but has become a modern field that is interesting for the younger generation to learn.
In the past, farmers still used traditional tools such as hoes and manual plows. Farmers also relied more on human labor in the process of planting, caring for, and harvesting crops. In addition, the success of harvests depended heavily on weather and natural conditions. As a result, agricultural production was often unstable and easily failed due to climate changes or pest attacks. From these conditions, people began to think about creating technology that could help farmers work more easily and maximize harvest results. Therefore, agricultural technology continues to be developed so that farming can become more effective, efficient, and environmentally friendly.
One strategy that can be used to develop modern agriculture is by utilizing digital technology such as drones, plant sensors, and automatic irrigation systems. In addition, farmers need training so they can use technology properly and correctly. This strategy is also supported by several previous studies, which state that the use of technology can increase harvest yields and make farmers’ work easier. With technological development and good human resources, modern agriculture is expected to continue growing and help meet society’s food needs in the future.

In addition, Francis Bacon stated that “knowledge is power,” meaning that humans can improve life through knowledge. I agree with this opinion because the development of agricultural technology today greatly helps farmers in their work and increases crop yields. In my opinion, agricultural technology is important for the future because it can make agriculture more advanced and keep up with the development of the times. I also think that the younger generation needs to learn about agricultural technology so that the agricultural sector will not be left behind and can continue to meet society’s food needs in the future.
